Positivity Highlight
At a time when communities are stretched thin, Brothers Redevelopment Inc., a local non-profit, stepped up to assist Erie residents with critical home repairs. Through a Weld County Community Development Block Grant, they helped fix safety hazards in 10 older homes in Old Town Erie—all for residents who might otherwise struggle to keep their homes in good shape.
These weren't glamorous upgrades—think essential fixes like weatherproofing, accessibility modifications, and health-related improvements. What made it truly special? Every bit of the $167,000 awarded goes directly toward making lives safer and more comfortable for local families, older adults, and those on limited incomes
For our readers, it’s simple but powerful: Neighbors helping neighbors—turning houses into safe homes they can stay in for years to come. Kindness in action—right here in Erie.
